Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, Keller Williams Coastal Area Partners and The Grand Lake Club at Southbridge have partnered to collect donated items for people in the Florida Panhandle who have been significantly affected by Hurricane Michael. Donations will be collected through 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22. Items can be dropped off in Savannah at Asbury Memorial UMC (1008 E. Henry St.), Keller Williams Coastal Area Partners (329 Commercial Dr., Suite 100), or The Grand Lake Club (815 Southbridge Blvd.)

Items needed include – but are not limited to – tarps, batteries, adult diapers, pet food, non-perishable food, outdoor extension cords, bug repellent, empty gas cans, personal hygiene items and generic gift cards. Local volunteers will combine these donated items and transport them to affected areas beginning Oct. 23.

“Here in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, we are no strangers to hurricanes, and we have experienced individuals, businesses and organizations coming together from across the country to our aid – now it’s our turn,” said Asbury Memorial UMC Youth Director Laura Angell. “The devastation caused by Hurricane Michael to the Florida Panhandle is unimaginable and we want to do everything we can to help. We hope you’ll join us in this support, not only by donating items, but also by continuing to pray for those affected.”
