Remember Your Loved Ones at Hospice Savannah’s 27th Annual Tree of Light Ceremony December 2nd

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, November 28th, 2018

The holiday season can be an especially difficult time for those who have lost a loved one.

Hospice Savannah’s annual Tree of Light, now in its 27th year, is a special time of hope, healing and remembrance. Please join us on Sunday, December 2 at 5:15 p.m. as we gather to share stories, music, and candlelight, and honor those we remember. The outdoor ceremony will be held on the patio of the Demere Center for Living at 6000 Business Center Drive, just off Chatham Parkway in Savannah.

The program features Miranda Briggs, a young mother, veteran, and widow who through the help of Hospice Savannah’s Full Circle Grief and Loss counseling is learning to deal with her husband Garrett’s death by suicide.   Miranda’s husband is one of the 22 veterans who die by suicide every day.

Donations help friends, neighbors and families like Miranda’s all year long by providing free grief support to any child or adult, regardless of the nature of their loss.  Call 912.629.1055 or visit HospiceSavannah.org/TreeofLight to make a donation. Gifts received by Thanksgiving are listed in the event program and all donors receive a Tree of Light ornament.

Because of your generosity, no one need every face loss alone.
