Memorial Health to Host ‘Learn More About Hernia’ Seminar February 7th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, January 25th, 2019

Memorial Health will host a free community seminar, “Learn More About Hernias,” at 6 p.m., Thursday, February 7. Dr. Oliver Whipple, laparoscopic and robotic surgeon with Memorial Health University Physicians, will lead the presentation, which will be held at Memorial Health GenerationOne, 1100 Eisenhower Drive in the Eisenhower Shopping Center.

About 5 million people in the U.S. are living with a hernia, but many will never seek treatment. Symptoms of a hernia include swelling, pain or a bulge in your abdomen or groin, or pain when bending over, coughing or lifting. Dr. Whipple will share information about advances in minimally invasive robotic-assisted hernia repair that can lead to a faster recovery with less pain.

To register for this seminar, please call (912) 712-7650 or go to MemorialHealth.com/Hernia.
