Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, February 22nd, 2019

Memorial Health will host a free community seminar, “It’s Time to Talk about Colorectal Cancer,” at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 5. Dr. Elizabeth McKeown, colorectal surgeon with Memorial Health University Physicians – Surgical Care, will discuss colorectal cancer prevention and treatment. The seminar will be held at Memorial Health GenerationOne, 1100 Eisenhower Drive, in the Eisenhower Shopping Center.

Colorectal cancer is the third most frequently diagnosed cancer for both men and women in the US. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 135,000 people will be diagnosed this year. The good news is survival rates are increasing due to early detection through screening.
