The public is invited to nominate nonprofit organizations in the Savannah area to be one of four grant recipients in the 2019 Enmarket Encourage Health Educational Series.

Nominations can be submitted through a Facebook or Instagram posting, and each winner will receive a $1,000 grant from Healthy Savannah during the health series.

Any Savannah area registered 501©3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote healthy living, active lifestyles or nutritional education is eligible for consideration.

To apply:

  • “Like” Enmarket’s Facebook and Instagram pages;

  • Create a post on Facebook and/or Instagram to explain why the nominated organization should be chosen;

  • Tag Enmarket in your social media nominations;

  • Use the hashtag #EncourageHealth2019.

Entries must include how the nonprofit organization inspires or promotes healthy living. The total number of “likes,” comments and shares on individual posts will be considered for the final selection.

Enmarket’s Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/enmarkstations. Enmarket’s Instagram page can be found by searching “Enmarket.” Entries will be open on Friday, Feb. 1. The deadline to apply is midnight on Thursday, Feb. 28.

Winning organizations will receive their grants during the Enmarket Encourage Health Education Series presentations, and each winning organization will be asked to host Enmarket representatives for a service day.

This is the sixth year for the Enmarket Encourage Health Education Series in partnership with Healthy Savannah.

The four lunchtime presentations will offer tips from local experts on nutrition, fitness and general tips for healthy living. Speakers have not been announced at this time.
