The Starland District is now home to an exceptional new venue which is slated to change the dynamics of performance and event space in Savannah. Victory North, located at 2603 Whitaker Street, is a full customizable multi-purpose event space that can be adapted for any need. The amenities, accessibility, versatility, and style in this historic building will transform Savannah’s venue options. Victory North’s partnership with Zero Mile, a high-profile talent booking and marketing agency, promises to attract the types of acts which have previously been restricted to bigger cities.

The Victory North building formerly housed a local antique store, “Pinch of The Past,” and has also functioned as a church and an ice house since its construction in 1900. Victory North retains charming historic features while providing modern conveniences, technology and comfort in addition to being ADA compliant. The renovations are designed to preserve the historic appearance while providing a unique Savannah event venue that can be transformed into any client’s vision. The main building features include a spacious ground floor, a stage equipped with professional-quality sound and lighting, a three-sided mezzanine level, third-floor gallery with private spaces, a lush outdoor courtyard and urban garden, and three full bars. Later in the year, the property next door at 2605 Whitaker Street will be developed to include a full kitchen, courtyard restrooms, and a courtyard bar.

“This is the venue Savannah wants and needs – we are very eager to host everything from weddings to concerts, and everything in-between,” said General Manager of Victory North, Bryan Bailey. “We hope that Victory North will be home to many of Savannah’s beloved organizations - - cultural, corporate, private, and neighborhood.”

A quality that helps to define Victory North is the local nature of the leadership. The Chief Operating Officer, Bryan Bailey, is a native of Savannah who has experience in production and management and most recently worked as an account/project manager at Stage Front.  Anita Ard, the Director of Group Sales, has 25 years’ experience in hospitality and events. Another team member, David Harris, is formerly from the Lucas Theatre in Savannah and has excellent connections with many musical entities in this area. Local talent has been an integral part of this development and trusted advisors include: Michael Hardy – realtor; Jeanine Thompson – Heritage Bank VP; Leslie Geer – landscaper; and attorney – Dana Braun and Patrick Cornell. The stylish renovation was designed by locally-based Kevin Rose and Anne Smith of Lominak Kolman & Smith Architects, and civil engineering was the responsibility of Savannahian Jay Maupin. The construction was undertaken by local company John Moore & Pier & Beam LLC.

Developer Mohamed Eldibany and wife Anastasia Duhknina split their time between Savannah and Chicago as they transition to living in the hostess city: “Savannah’s charm and the warmth of its people has captured us. Victory North at 2603 Whitaker is a truly an amazing space, designed to honor the architectural beauty of Savannah’s past with all the comfort and technology of the present and future. We built this project with the hopes that it shall be loved and enjoyed by all, as much as we do.”

Victory North will work with Zero Mile Presents for live music talent buying, booking and marketing services. Zero Mile, recently partnered with AEG Presents, is one of the most successful concert promoters in the South and currently books and operates the renowned venues Variety Playhouse and Terminal West in Atlanta, as well as the historic Georgia Theatre in Athens. Zero Mile’s book, marketing and venue operation expertise will ensure Victory North’s ability to bring world-class acts to its stage among the likes of Perpetual Groove, Brent Cobb, Blues Traveler, Jenny Lewis and more. “We are pleased to help satisfy a demand for larger music productions in Savannah and are very excited about this partnership with Victory North,” says Zero Mile Partner Scott Orvold.
