HunterMaclean, a leading business law firm with offices in Savannah and Brunswick, recently welcomed Rob McGuirk as partner and chair of the firm’s taxation practice. Rob has over 25 years of experience as a tax professional and will lead HunterMaclean’s business taxation group.

Prior to joining HunterMaclean, Rob worked for 11 years as the executive director of tax and tax counsel for Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, a Fortune 500 company that provides clinical diagnostic laboratory services in the health care field. 

“Rob brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to our firm’s taxation practice group,” said Managing Partner Brad Harmon. “He is a respected professional, and his expertise will certainly be an asset to our team and clientele.”

Rob received a Master of Laws in Taxation and his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. He earned undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Philosophy from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Rob is a certified public accountant in Maryland and New Jersey.

Rob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Bar Association. He also served on the conference board of the Tax Executives Council from 2016 to 2017.
