Registration is now open for Georgia Tech-Savannah’s free occupational safety and health training (OSHA) courses. From April 15-18th, Georgia Tech’s Savannah campus will open their classrooms and highly trained staff to help your employees and company save money, reduce accidents, earn job promotions, and lower worker’s compensation premiums.

Georgia Tech’s Occupational Safety and Health program has been educating private- and public-sector companies and individuals for more than 30 years. Students acquire specialized expertise through invaluable access to Georgia Tech faculty and industry leaders.

As one of the original four OSHA Training Institute Education Centers, our nationally recognized OSHA programs continue to provide students with the skills necessary to make a positive impact in their workplace. There are a wide variety of free course options now open for registration:

April 15- OSHA 7100:

Introduction to Machine & Machine Safeguarding

This seminar is designed to increase the participant's knowledge and skill in proper machine safeguarding techniques, and to highlight the benefits of guarding various types of machinery.

April 16- OSHA 7105:

Introduction to Emergency Planning

This seminar is designed to assist companies in protecting workers from emergencies in the workplace.

April 17- OSHA 7405:

Fall Hazard Awareness for the Construction Industry

The goal of this course is to provide small construction employers and employees with information on recognizing potential fall hazards and their work sites and suggest ways to avoid, minimize, control or prevent these hazards whenever possible.

April 18- EST 8003:

Ergonomics and the Control of Workplace Musculoskeletal Disorders

This half-day seminar is designed to help companies determine if they have ergonomics hazards in their facilities and what can be done to address these hazards.
