Getaways for Grownups, an online magazine catering to adult-friendly travel options, visited, dined, and stayed at The DeSoto earlier this month. The DeSoto is a historic hotel with southern design and hospitality, located in the heart of Savannah’s historic district.
Based out of Atlanta, Getaways for Grownups travels around the world to review hotels, resorts, adventures, spas, and all things culinary that are inviting to adults.
While in Savannah they left a rave review about their stay at The DeSoto saying, “There’s no real need to leave the hotel. Book a corner king guestroom and the city is literally right outside the window… I’m no stranger to Savannah: This view is arguably the best available.” Their Sip & Stroll Tour with the Sotherly Host at The DeSoto was “the highlight of our trip”.
They also dined at 1540 Room leaving a review that says, “The space feels elegant with high ceilings, white walls, and an open kitchen so clean it gleams.” And stopped in Edgar’s Proof & Provision for lunch saying the fish and chips was “finger-licking yum.”
Getaways for Grownups gives honest feedback through their digital magazine, which launched in September 2012, and now has more than 9,000 unique monthly visitors, and more than 200 visits per day. They have more than 14.2K Instagram followers and 1.1K Facebook followers which is where they share photography from their adventures and stays.
