At their March 20 Annual Meeting, the Steward Center for Palliative Care approved the following slate of officers for the 2019-2020 term:

Chair: Paul Meyer, founding partner, Meyer & Sayers, LLP

Vice-Chair: Dr. Anthony Costrini, pulmonologist

Secretary/Treasurer: Freda Brinson Compliance Auditor, St. Joseph’s/Candler.

Dr. Sherry Danello, Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, St. Joseph’s/Candler, joins current board members Dr. Barbara Bart, E.B. Zeke (Zeke) Gaines, III, Erin Garletts, Dr. Debra Hagerty, Dr. Marie Dent and Honorary Lifetime Member, Mrs. Helen Steward.

The Steward Center for Palliative Care, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with nonprofit Hospice Savannah, Inc., provides progressive illness management  to inpatients throughout St. Joseph’s/Candler and Landmark Hospitals, sees non ambulatory patients in their homes or nursing homes throughout Chatham County, and sees Coastal Empire outpatients at their clinic within the Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion.
