Union Mission recently announced that Oliver Maner LLP and Nine Line Apparel will serve as presenting sponsors of their annual event, Raising Hope.

Raising Hope is Union Mission’s largest fundraiser and provides direct funding for short and long-term housing, mental health counseling, career development and much more.  This year’s event will be chaired by local realtor and Union Mission Board Member Ginna Carroll and is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Savannah.

“Oliver Maner is deeply proud to partner with Union Mission," said Bill Hunter, a partner at Oliver Maner and member of Union Mission's board of directors. “Thanks to the tireless work, advocacy and services provided by this incredible organization, countless lives are forever changed and uplifted. Union Mission is truly a place of hope for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and as a result, Savannah is a brighter, safer and healthier place to live for one of the city’s most vulnerable groups."

The keynote address of this year’s Raising Hope will be nationally recognized TedxTalk speaker Richard Berry. As two-term mayor of Albuquerque, Mr. Berry advanced initiatives to provide daily work and housing for the homeless; programs he respectively named “There’s A Better Way” and “Albuquerque Heading Home.” The event will also recognize local philanthropists Don and Kay Kole, who have supported Union Mission as well as many additional community organizations within Savannah for several decades.

“Union Mission is an incredible organization that has had an immense impact in the city of Savannah and the veteran community for many years,” said Nine Line Apparel Founder Tyler Merritt. “It truly takes the coming together and cooperation of many organizations to reach specific social goals and we are proud to be able to work with UMI to improve the lives of homeless in our community.  As a member of the Union Mission Board of Directors, I am very aware of how fortunate we are that Union Mission and its programs are available to those in need in our city.”
