On May 16, Country Financial representative Michael Flynn presented SD Gunner Fund (SDGF) CEO and Founder Britnee Kinard with a $1,500 charitable donation. This donation will support the nonprofit organization’s work of assisting veterans and disabled children with the financial expenses of owning much-needed service animals.

“I am very passionate about serving the community I live and work in,” said Flynn. “I feel honored that I can lend a helping hand to an organization that supports such important members of our community – veterans and disabled children.”

Kinard expressed gratitude to Flynn and Country Financial for their support and enthusiasm for SDGF, explaining that service animals supported by the organization require a variety of necessary items to perform their service, such as vests, custom harnesses, and veterinary visits. Service dogs are trained to support individuals with mobility, hearing, psychiatric and brain/neurological disabilities, and perform tasks to meet the individual assistance needs of their partner.
