Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, June 5th, 2019

Colony Bank is pleased to announce the successful and much anticipated opening of a full-service banking office in Statesboro, located at 104 Springhill Drive (telephone 912-225-1460). The new branch replaces and greatly expands the capabilities of the former loan production office, which was located at 17 Courtland Street.

May 20 was indeed an exciting day for the Colony bankers as well as people in the community, who had watched the building rise and take shape over the past several months, signaling new opportunities ahead for Statesboro. Many community members visited that day to welcome Colony's expanded services and increased commitment to Statesboro and to express thanks for the Bank's investment in the community. For its part, Colony was humbled by the outpouring of interest and support, underscored by the opening of many new accounts on the first day.

Commenting on the announcement, Statesboro Market President Chris Carter said, "We are very excited to open this new, state-of-the-art banking facility in Statesboro, which matches the energy and potential of this dynamic and growing community. Offering superior size and capabilities compared with most community banks and greater speed and agility than regional and national banks, Colony is well positioned to serve existing and new customers in Statesboro as we fulfil our commitment to helping them find the right financial solutions for any situation that may arise – today and in the future."

Commercial bankers Brian Fitzgerald and Bob Olliff will be based in the branch and will be working with Carter. Nan Akins will continue to serve as the office manager of the new branch. Assisting her are: Stephanie Ashworth - Universal Teller (CSR/Teller), and tellers Iris Gomez-Rizo and Malory Sircy.
