The DeSoto Hires Pastry Chef Allison Brown

The award-winning DeSoto recently added Allison Brown as Pastry Chef.  In this role, she will use her creative flair to craft pastries and desserts for The DeSoto’s restaurants: 1540 Room, Edgar’s Proof & Provision, and Buffalo Bayou. In addition, she will create recipes and delicious sweets for banquets and large parties.

Chef Allison has an extensive background in the restaurant industry. She received her degree from the Center for Culinary Arts in Cromwell, CT. Chef Allison formerly worked as Pastry Chef at La Scala in Savannah and as a Pastry Assistant at The Landings in Savannah. Prior to that, she served a Pastry Assistant at ON20 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Born and raised in Berlin, Connecticut, Chef Allison has happily called Savannah home for several years. She lives on the southside and enjoys horseback riding, yoga, reading in her free time.The DeSoto is excited to have her onboard, bringing a renewed dessert menu to all restaurants and her expertise to a wide variety of goods.
