Parker’s Hires Attorney Kate Lawson Smith as Chief of Staff

Parker’s, one of America’s leading convenience and food service companies, recently hired attorney Kate Lawson Smith as Chief of Staff. In her new position, Smith coordinates with the Parker’s leadership team to ensure the successful execution of company initiatives and strategy and serves as the director of community affairs and outreach.
 
“Kate is a natural leader and has strong analytical skills as well as exceptional communication skills,” said Parker’s founder and CEO Greg Parker. “She is an ideal addition to our team and will help us as we continue to grow within our existing footprint and in exciting new markets.”
 
Before joining Parker’s, Smith worked as a litigation attorney at HunterMaclean in Savannah, Ga., where she represented and advised clients in a wide variety of matters.  She also executed administrative duties within the law firm, such as mentoring junior associates, planning and hosting monthly lunch presentations and coordinating participation in the annual Legal Food Frenzy.  
 
Smith earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia’s School of Law, magna cum laude, and her B.A. in political science from the University of South Carolina, cum laude. An active community leader, Smith has served as a member of the Savannah Bar Association Executive Committee and as president of the Savannah Young Lawyers Division and the Live Oak Public Library Foundation. Originally from Conway, S.C., she currently resides in Savannah, Ga.
