Friday, October 25th, 2019

Family Promise of Greater Savannah is slated to host their latest fundraising event Painting With a Purpose on Oct. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Painting with a Twist, 513 E. Oglethorpe Savannah.

Family Promise urges the community to join them for a fun night of painting, happy hour, fellowship and entertainment to benefit the organization’s mission. A large portion of the proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Greater Savannah. This donation will go directly to supporting their “Girls Who Code” program.

Family Promise has partnered with Comcast for their “Girls Who Code” free after-school program for girls in 3rd grade and above. Students are able to engage in online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and use their newfound coding skills to solve real-world problems they’re passionate about.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with Painting with a Twist to host this exciting event to benefit our organization and our newest program, ‘Girls Who Code,’” said Executive Director of Family Promise of Greater Savannah Katrina Bostick. “We hope that the Savannah community comes out and gets creative with us to ensure we can continue to help families prosper and support girls in the S.T.E.M. field.”

Painting with a Purpose tickets are $35 per person and include all materials needed to create the artwork including the 16x20 canvas. Guests must be 18 years to attend, and 21 to enjoy drinks.
