We are so pleased to announce that Mary Kathryn Smith has accepted an invitation to join Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty in our Savannah office. “Mary Kathryn is 110% dedicated to client success, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her. We look forward to supporting her as she applies her local knowledge and commitment to service and professionalism with our unrivaled global network and next-level marketing,” said Celia Dunn, President of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty.

Mary Kathryn’s time exploring Savannah waterways during summers with her grandparents sparked an interest in a lifestyle that only Savannah could offer. It was memories of those summers that called Mary Kathryn to make the move from Atlanta to Savannah almost a decade ago.

After graduating from Valdosta State University, Mary Kathryn focused on building her career in sales and marketing which landed her in a position to establish her own company and expand it throughout the southeast. Mary Kathryn and her husband Chris are also the owners of a local Savannah restaurant - Zunzi’s Takeout & Catering. Along with her love for the beauty and southern lifestyle that Savannah has to offer, Mary Kathryn also found her passion for real estate in the negotiations, build-outs, purchasing, and selling of their restaurants over the years. She decided to follow that passion to blend her love of residential architecture, design, sales, and marketing into a full-time real estate career.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, positive mindset, and values of transparency and  integrity, Mary Kathryn’s clients needs are always her utmost priority. "I truly love getting to know my clients on a personal level and how their lives can be enriched by home ownership. Real estate is a very delicate business. By building long lasting relationships with my clients, I have been fortunate to not only help with their real estate needs, but also to remain close with them after the deal is done and it’s unbelievably rewarding,” said Smith.

When asked what she loves most about Savannah, Smith said, “The people. They are the core of what makes this city the most wonderful place to live. It’s also fascinating that Savannah has so many unique “neighborhood areas” where each have their own distinct characteristics. My personal favorite is downtown Savannah, where my husband and I live, because everything is walkable, dog-friendly, and full of rich history and charm. It's southern hospitality at its best.”

Smith is a member of the Historic Savannah Foundation, the Georgia Historical Society, Telfair Museums, and Red Shoe Society supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities. When not showing homes, Mary Kathryn and her husband spend free-time boating on the Intracoastal Waterway or walking their Labrador through the downtown historic squares.
