Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019

The Savannah Food and Wine Festival is once again holding their annual “Whisky on the Water” event to benefit The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire. The tasting experience will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, 1 Resort Dr, Savannah.

All ticket proceeds will be donated to the Two Hundred Club, which provides immediate financial assistance to the family members of local law enforcement officers, EMS, and firefighters who lose their lives or are critically injured in the line-of-duty.

The event will not only benefit the Two Hundred Club, a 501(c)(3) organization that serves 18 counties in Georgia and two counties in South Carolina, but also offers a supreme opportunity to sample some of the best whisky brands available.

Whisky on the Water is an opportunity for guests to explore the world of whisky at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, one of Savannah’s most luxurious hotels offering beautiful waterfront sights, while also enjoying great live music and gourmet food pairings created by renowned guest chefs. Dozens of distillers and professional brand ambassadors will share their knowledge and passion for these fine spirits. Unlike any other event in the city, whisky enthusiasts meet the master blenders, sip the finest selections, learn fresh cocktail recipes, and experience new labels. Whisky on the Water is sure to satisfy the connoisseur and the amateur alike.

“We are very grateful to Savannah Food and Wine Festival and the Westin Savannah Harbor for once again holding this spectacular event to benefit our organization,” Two Hundred Club President Mark Dana said. “Without the support from community partners like the Food and Wine Festival committee, we would not be able to continue our mission of giving 100% to those who gave it all and could not provide financial assistance and college educations for first responder families in the Coastal Empire.”

Tickets for this event cost $100 each (Double tickets are $160) and includes a souvenir glass and access to all beverage and food tastings during the event. To purchase tickets, please visit www.savannahfoodandwinefest.com.
