CrimeStoppers Hires Brittany Herren as Assistant Director

CrimeStoppers of Savannah-Chatham County has hired Brittany Herren as the new Assistant Director. Herren comes to CrimeStoppers from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) where she served as the Public Information Officer.
 
“I am thrilled to welcome Brittany to our team,” said CrimeStoppers Executive Director Larry Branson. “She has a strong background in the communications and marketing field and I am excited to see how her experience and innovative ideas help to continue transforming this organization.”
 
A former award winning journalist and marketer, Herren has a M.A. in Professional Communication and Leadership from the former Armstrong State University and a B.A. in English from Valdosta State University.
 
In addition to leading the communications office for the CCSO, Herren has also served as the Public Relations Manager for the City of Hinesville, the Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator for Armstrong State University in Savannah and as the Senior News Reporter for The Valdosta Daily Times in Valdosta, Ga.
 
As the assistant director, Herren’s primary responsibility will be managing the communications, marketing and branding of CrimeStoppers.
 
“CrimeStoppers started a new chapter in June with the addition of Larry at the helm of the organization and the board is confident that Brittany is going to take the organization’s media and marketing efforts to the next level,” said CrimeStoppers Board Chairman and WSAV news reporter/anchor Andrew Davis.
 
Herren officially began work on Monday, Nov. 4.
