The Savannah Interagency Diversity Council Announces the 5th Annual Savannah Traffick Jam

The Savannah Interagency Diversity Council (SIDC) announces the fifth annual Savannah Traffick Jam at Savannah State University in the Student Union on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 8am to 4pm. With the support of Delta Air Lines, SouthCoast Health, Memorial Health, St. Joseph’s/Candler, and host Savannah State University, the event will unite advocates working to combat human trafficking through education and empowerment. The event is free, and open to the public.

Four tracks of “prevention” education are available, providing breakouts specific to Healthcare Providers, Law Enforcement Officers, Legal Professionals, and the Community (Churches, Schools, Businesses, Parents, Students 13+).

Continuing Education Credits will be offered to Healthcare Providers and Law Enforcement Officers. To obtain credits, Healthcare and Law Enforcement Professionals must pre-register and remain the duration of the seminar.

The event is presented by the SIDC (https://thesidc.org.), an active 501(c)(3) organized in May 2013, based in Savannah, Georgia.  The SIDC is made up of law enforcement, businesses, government agencies, social services, educators, and advocates with the shared purpose of celebrating the diversity of our community. The Savannah Traffick Jam is a natural initiative of that action-oriented mindset, bringing diverse perspectives together for conversation and collaboration, to create positive change.
