Senior Citizens, Inc. was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from the Savannah Mill’s International Paper Foundation to use for its Meals on Wheels program.
 
The Savannah Mill’s International Paper Foundation grants support projects and programs focused on their signature causes, which include education, hunger, health and wellness, and disaster relief. The foundation provides support for critical needs in the communities where their employees live and work and where their employees actively volunteer.
 
The grant will allow the organization to serve older adults who are currently on the waiting list for Meals on Wheels. Each day, SCI delivers 1,800 meals, which includes a wellness check on the clients.
