The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire has partnered with Gerald’s Pig & Shrimp on Tybee Island for a Valentine’s Day benefit dinner at 5 p.m. February 14.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office will donate Boston butts to the restaurant, which will then prepare them and include meals of perfectly smoked pulled pork on their menu. For every pulled pork meal ordered and purchased from 5 p.m. until closing, Gerald’s will donate all of the proceeds from each order to the Two Hundred Club.

The owner of the restaurant, Gerald Schantz, is a Vietnam era Navy veteran, who has made it a priority to support this local nonprofit that provides for the families of fallen first responders. Gerald has been cooking in the Coastal Empire since 1985 and catering for movie sets, film crews, TV shows, corporate functions, outdoor festivals, concerts, weddings and numerous other private events. Gerald’s Pig & Shrimp on Tybee is a previous multiple-time winner of Eat It & Like It.

“Gerald’s is a dedicated supporter of the 200 Club and we are very thankful to them for partnering with us again to host this wonderful event to benefit our organization, and to the Chatham County Sherriff’s Office for generously donating all of the food needed to make this night a success,” said Two Hundred Club President Mark Dana. “We urge community members, families, and individuals to come out for a delicious meal to support our mission of giving 100 percent to the families of those who gave their all.”
