GT-Savannah Now Offering Supply Chain and Logistics APICS Certified Boot Camps
Staff Report From Savannah CEO
Tuesday, February 18th, 2020
The first boot camp, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), will be offered April 27-29, 2020. This accelerated course takes a broad view of the field, extending beyond internal operations to encompass all the steps throughout the supply chain – from the supplier to the company and the end consumer – and how to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize the company’s value chain. The CSCP program enables participants to implement best practices to increase supply chain efficiencies.
The second course track, APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) Boot Camp, will be offered September 21-23, 2020. This fast track is designed to cover key learning points of the APICS CLTD Learning System and will help participants master the essential knowledge to meet today’s supply chain logistics challenges and prepare for the exam. This course sets the global standard for best practices in logistics, transportation, and distribution.
Both boot camps will be led by an experienced instructor in a multi-day classroom format. The structured environment ensures that participants stay on track with their studies while offering peer discussions and real-world experiences to help reinforce the learning materials.
“We are pleased to team with APICS Savannah Chapter in offering CSCP and CLDT preparation boot camps,” says Timothy Brown, Managing Director for Supply Chain & Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech-Savannah. “The accelerated learning boot camps are designed to cover key learning points of the APICS learning system. The boot camp format is a great alternative to both traditional multi-week/weekend programs and online learning only approaches. An added bonus is that students are positioned for an APICS credential as well as receiving professional education credentials from Georgia Tech.”
“This is an exciting partnership with Georgia Tech-Savannah,” says Geoff R. LeRoy, President of the APICS Savannah chapter. “We look forward to serving this community and know that offering high-quality supply chain and logistics programming, in a boot camp style format, is a huge necessity for this region.”
There will be limited seating for both boot camps. Registration is now open. To learn more visit: https://scl.gatech.edu/apicsbootcamps.
