For the eighth consecutive year, Laura Bradley, a Technical Support Specialist in Ogeechee Tech’s IT Department, has served as a judge at the Bulloch Regional Student Technology Fair held at Julia P. Bryant Elementary School in January.
Bradley, who has been employed at OTC since October 2015, explained that judging the technology fair is a yearly reminder that technical education begins at a young age. “It has been an honor to serve the last several years as a judge for the Regional Student Technology Fair. Seeing how passionate these students are about technology is a good indication that the future of technological advancement is in capable hands,” she said.
The fair is hosted annually by Bulloch County Schools and is sponsored by Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon, LLC, a local accounting firm and is one of 16 preliminary technology fairs in the state that qualifies first-place winners to compete in the Georgia Student Technology Fair. The Bulloch County event is open to all home-schooled, public or private-school students in third through twelfth grade from Bulloch and the surrounding counties of Candler, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, and Screven.
