Hospice Savannah Hosts Home-Based “We Remember Mama” Event On the Thursday before Mother’s Day
Staff Report From Savannah CEO
Thursday, April 30th, 2020
You are invited to raise a glass or sip a tea in memory of, or in honor of, your mother on Thursday, May 7 at 6:00 p.m. In the spirit of Hospice Savannah’s Story Keeping program which records the life stories and legacies of its patients, you are encouraged to set aside this time to think about and share stories of your mother….What was her pet name for you?...What were some of her favorite sayings?...When you picture her, what is she wearing?...Which meal do you still prepare or enjoy that reminds you of her?
Through a generous matching gift from Jim and Dottie Kluttz, donations funding 20, 10 or 5 Story Keeping sessions will be doubled. There is a suggested “ticket” donation of $10 for this home-based “event.” Donation levels, sponsors and full information are available at the Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/103426904656
Additionally, Dr. Mark Murphy, beloved local physician and Savannah Morning News columnist, will share memories of his mother Peggy Womack Murphy via social media on May 7. For more information, please visit www.HospiceSavannah.org/mama or contact Beth Logan, Director of Marketing at 912.351.9586
