Savannah Children’s Museum, a unique entirely outdoor children’s museum in Savannah, GA, is finding new ways to encourage learning through play during this challenging time. To assist families across the state that may be stuck in quarantine, the Children’s Museum is providing unique online educational resources each day through their Facebook page.
“Savannah Children's Museum is a magical place of creativity, exploration, discovery, and imagination! In these unprecedented times, we want to continue to inspire families to learn about the world around them. We will share posts to encourage learning at home that connects to our daily museum programs including Awesome Art, STEAM Studio, Young Explorers and Healthy Me! said Elisabeth Chappell, Education Specialist at Savannah Children’s Museum. “Our suggested activities will require minimal supplies and provide loads of educational, hands-on FUN!”
Each day Savannah Children’s Museum will be sharing easy-to-do crafts and activities that meet statewide educational standards and inspire children’s curiosity and creativity. The site hopes to continue to bring their award-winning educational programs to families virtually throughout the duration of the COVID-19 outbreak.
