Savannah Ballet Theatre (SBT) has announced that Katrina Adams has been appointed to their Board of Directors. Adams has a professional background and extensive experience in entertainment. She is enthusiastic about joining the board of this local non-profit organization to promote the art of dance within our community. 

Adams began her career in the entertainment industry after attending Savannah State University. She has worked with several large-scale productions and big names such as Tupac Shakur and Tyler Perry over the course of her career and has a passion for the entertainment industry.

Adams has held several professional positions during the course of her varied career. After years of working in entertainment, she became a flight attendant for several years before leaving in 2011 to continue her education. Adams graduated from Savannah Technical College with High Honors and as Class President in the Surgical Technology Program. Following this accomplishment, she worked as a Clinical Coordinator at the University of Virginia for four years before returning to the entertainment industry.

Adams is now an Account Executive at FlightSafety International and is the Vice President for their Charity Board. Adams assists customers and clients with maintenance aircraft training on the Gulfstream’s G280, G450, and G500/600. Adams is excited to combine skills learned from providing premier aviation training and her entertainment background to drive SBT’s initiatives and mission.

“Working with different entertainment productions and artists of all genres has given me the ability to express my creativity and love for art,” Adams said. “I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to a wonderful organization such as SBT, and look forward to further fulfilling the mission of bringing dance to all members of the community by coordinating and producing even more wonderful productions everyone can enjoy.”

Adams joins the Board of Directors with members Curt Bryant (President), Gif Lockley, Lauren Schwan, Abby McCuen, Rob Miller, Traci Hall, Jay Jernigan, Jamie Maddox, Jennifer Madison and Flo Bryant.

“We are very excited and eager to bring an experienced member in the arts and entertainment industry to our Board of Directors,” said Board President Curt Bryant. “The versatility that comes from her unique career background will allow us to take our productions to the next level and further cater to the community in various ways so everyone has experience to the art form of dance.”
