Buy Local Savannah will host its monthly luncheon on Thursday, May 27 from 11 AM–1 PM at Cohen’s Retreat, located at 5715 Skidaway Road in Savannah. This month’s guest speakers are John Martel and W. Ron Nelson from the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT), who will discuss the I-16/1-95 project.

“I am pleased to announce the Georgia DOT as Buy Local’s latest guest speaker. The I-16/1-95 project is very important to the infrastructure of our area: it directly affects how fast and efficiently local businesses will receive goods. The project information delivered at this Buy Local luncheon will be the most comprehensive so far. We aim to keep our members as informed as possible of major changes in Chatham County,” said Courtney Rawlins, 2021 President, Buy Local Savannah.

Luncheon tickets are $25 for Buy Local members and $40 for nonmembers and can be purchased atbuylocalsavannah.com/luncheon-registration. Due to safety protocols, seating is limited and this event is expected to sell out, so attendees are encouraged to register now. Guests are asked to please practice social distancing and to wear their face masks when not actively eating or drinking.
