Greenbriar Children's Center Graduates Pre-K Program with Drive By Celebration

Tuesday, May 25th, 2021

Greenbriar Children’s Center, a non-profit in Savannah celebrating over 72 years providing services to children and families, announces it will graduate its Pre-K class at Windy’s Preschool at 429 Tattnall Street with a drive-by commencement on Friday, May 21st, 2021 at 11:00 am.

“Last year, our two early childhood centers at Windy’s Preschool and at W.W. Law Learning Center had to shut down for several weeks at the beginning of the pandemic,” said Miss Gena Taylor, Executive Director of Greenbriar. “Shortly thereafter, we re-opened with proper PPE and sanitizing stations to keep children, their families and staff safe.   Since that time, we have remained open…which is important as we know that children who are enrolled in a Georgia Quality Rated Pre-K program, particularly those from low income families, have significant improvement in math, language and literacy skills compared to other children who do not attend these programs.”

Greenbriar operates two quality rated and accredited early learning centers for children in Savannah, located at Windy’s Preschool at 429 Tattnall Street and W.W. Law Learning Center at 909 East Bolton Street.  “We are still enrolling children for our two centers for Fall, 2021 and applications can be found on our website at www.greenbriarchildrenscenter.org or by calling us at (912) 234-3431” said Miss Taylor.
