Palmer & Cay, a leading independent insurance and benefits brokerage with offices across the Southeast, recently appointed Alex Aycock, Mary Alice Sexton and Elisa Snyder to the firm’s Executive Committee. The company’s Executive Committee also includes Palmer & Cay CEO Jack Cay, Executive Vice President and Partner Albert A. Lloyd III and Vice Chairman and Partner John C. Smith.

Alex Aycock, CPCU, is an Executive Vice President and Partner who leads Palmer & Cay’s Commercial Lines division. His oversight of all property and casualty operations supports each team in providing clients with exceptional service, resources and expertise to make the best decisions around risk management and financing. He brings 15 years of experience in all areas of risk management and insurance, including account management, brokerage and leadership, as well as sales and mergers and acquisitions. Aycock is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation holder and is based at the firm’s Atlanta office. 

Mary Alice Sexton, GBA, is an Executive Vice President, Partner and Employee Benefits Practice Leader at Palmer & Cay who delivers client-specific solutions designed to drive strategic growth. She is responsible for equipping her team with the tools, insights and strategies needed to provide exceptional service for a wide range of commercial clients. With more than 40 years of experience in health and welfare employee benefits, she specializes in c-suite leadership, mergers and acquisitions due diligence and strategic growth and believes that passion and empathy are key to help clients navigate the complexities of the employee benefits system and access the care they need. A Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Health Insurance Associate who is based at the firm’s Atlanta office, Sexton has been honored by Risk & Insurance and was named a Power Broker finalist in the employee benefits category.   

Elisa Snyder, CPA, is an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Partner at Palmer & Cay who leads accounting and finance functions for the firm. Based at the firm’s Atlanta office, she closely manages corporate banking functions and is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 10 years of experience in public and private accounting. A collaborative leader who is known for strategic planning and forecasting models that foster growth, Snyder has been instrumental in Palmer & Cay’s consistent double-digit annual growth and has driven initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability and financial performance. She originally joined the firm in 2017 as an Accounting Manager and served as Controller before being named Partner and CFO in 2023.
