'In Good Times and Bad': Community Remembers 'Loyal Friend' and Champion Cliff McCurry

When talking about the literal larger-than-life Cliff McCurry, colleagues and longtime friends can’t help but smile when they recall his enthusiasm, positive attitude, business acumen and his commitment to family, the University of Georgia as well as his profession.
McCurry, 77, died July 31 at home. At 6 feet, 7 inches tall, he was well known as a gentle giant and, quite possibly, Savannah’s biggest cheerleader.
