P.A.C.K., People of Action Caring for Kids, a public charity that packs and delivers care bags to local children in need, received a $10,000 donation from DAI Commercial. As the presenting sponsor, DAI’s Cal and Katie Chancy presented their donation during P.A.C.K.’s 3rd Annual Family Bingo held on Sunday, August 10th.

“We are so grateful to DAI Commercial for investing in our community. These funds will help us continue to feed local children in need and this check will feed 50 local school children every Friday for the entire school year. When a business like DAI steps in to help us, it means children can be children and being hungry is one less thing they have to worry about,” shared PACK Executive Director Malena Stone, “With no paid employees, we depend on benevolent businesses like DAI and volunteers to help us do everything from fundraise and donate to packing bags to hosting food drives.”

“In the past, DAI Commercial has supported incredible organizations like Safe Shelter, the Humane Society and the Alzheimer’s Association. When we met Malena Stone, we were truly inspired by the incredible work PACK does for our community each and every day. Their unwavering dedication to supporting underserved youth is both admirable and impactful, and it’s a privilege to stand behind their mission,” stated DAI Commercial Managing Broker Katie Chancy.

“On a personal level, it’s also incredibly important to me to teach my children the value of giving back and volunteering from a young age. Both of my children had the honor of serving as student ambassadors for PACK this year— it is just one of the many meaningful opportunities the organization provides for young people to get involved,” added Chancy. “At DAI Commercial, we believe that strong communities are built through compassion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating positive change—and PACK exemplifies that in everything they do.”

With thousands of local children on a waiting list for weekend food bags, P.A.C.K. is in need of business and family sponsors to help fill the gap in supply and demand. From delivery to 42 schools and community centers every week to their P.AC.K. Cottages, an emergency duffle bag program for children in crisis to the PACK Boutique that provides a personal shopping experience for children in foster and CASA care from ages birth to 18 years old, P.A.C.K. continues to bridge the gap between the hungry and the fed. fruition.
