Re:Purpose Savannah Announces New Hire Sidney Gnann as Director of Operations

Re:Purpose Savannah (RPS) is excited to announce the recent hiring of Sidney Gnann as Director of Operations. With over 20 years of experience managing urban parks, historic landmarks, and community-focused organizations, Mr. Gnann is well-equipped to make significant contributions in his new role at Re:Purpose. Mr. Gnann will oversee project execution, site safety, resource management, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure efficient, high-quality operations across all areas of the organization.

Mr. Gnann has a passion for preservation and conservation initiatives and holds an extensive background in executive operations and nonprofit leadership. Prior to Re:Purpose, Gnann led the successful launch and ongoing management of a 72-acre urban park redevelopment as the Director of Operations at The RiverFront in Omaha, Nebraska. He also served as the Executive Director of the Joslyn Castle Trust, where he elevated the historic house museum’s profile in the community while successfully managing restoration projects and expanding the program offering. 

As the Director of Operations of Re:Purpose Savannah, Mr. Gnann has a passion for preservation and conservation initiatives and is excited to play a role in furthering the mission of Re:Purpose Savannah. He will work with the team to advance the organization’s mission and values in Savannah and beyond.

Re:Purpose Savannah is a woman-led and operated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that diverts materials from the landfill through the deconstruction of historic buildings in Savannah, GA. Re:Purpose Savannah captures and shares the value of historic structures through shared research and documentation of buildings, careful deconstruction and salvage of the architectural fabric of projects, and making goods available for reuse at their marsh-front lumber yard.
