The Savannah Downtown Business Association will announce the winner of the inaugural Christmas on Broughton Street Storefront Decorative Contest, powered by Hearse Ghost Tours, on Friday, December 19th. The winning Broughton Street business will receive $1,000 from Hearse Ghost Tours in recognition of their outstanding holiday storefront display. Christmas on Broughton was created to bring festive spirit, holiday cheer, and seasonal energy to the heart of downtown Savannah’s commercial corridor, Broughton Street. The competition highlights the creativity of local businesses while encouraging residents and visitors to experience downtown Savannah as a premier Christmas destination.

Participating businesses in this year’s Christmas on Broughton competition included Savannah Belle, Pounce Cat Cafe, Savannah Taste Experience, Bowls & Bubbles, Dress Up, Historic Kennedy Pharmacy at the Davenport House Museum, River Street Sweets, Sea Love Candle Bar and Boutique, J Parker Ltd, Marmalade Savannah, Bluemercury, Common Restaurant, and Fitness on Broughton. Each storefront was uniquely decorated to celebrate the holiday season and contribute to the festive atmosphere along Broughton Street.

Storefronts were judged by representatives from the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Savannah, and the Tourism Leadership Council, bringing together leaders from Savannah’s business and tourism communities to evaluate creativity, holiday spirit, and overall presentation. The public is invited to attend the winner announcement and check presentation on Friday, December 19th, at 1:00 p.m. in downtown Savannah at 20 West Broughton Street.

Russ Lee, owner of Hearse Ghost Tours, shared, “Savannah is the most beautiful city in America and the most perfect backdrop for celebrating Christmas. We hope this contest showcases downtown Savannah and the importance of supporting our businesses while making downtown Savannah a true Christmas destination.”
