One of Savannah’s most beloved holiday traditions returns this season as Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) hosts its annual Savannah Santa Train event on Saturday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families are invited to celebrate the magic of the holidays at two of the nonprofit’s six museums: Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum, located at 655 Louisville Road in Savannah.

Savannah Santa Train is a family-friendly event with festive activities and entertainment, including a holiday-themed train ride experience, toy soldier training, holiday crafts, and more. Children and their families will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and enjoy musical performances throughout the day.

“We always look forward to celebrating the joy of the holidays with our annual Savannah Santa Train event,” said Nora Fleming Lee, CEO of Coastal Heritage Society. “We are grateful to our community partners and sponsors who help make this event possible. It is one of the highlights of our year!”

Tickets for the event are $18 for CHS members and $20 for nonmembers and can be purchased by visiting bit.ly/SantaTrain2025.

Visitors can also enjoy treats from favorite local food trucks. Savannah Santa Train is sponsored by Colonial Group, Inc., and Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah.
