Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) received a $35,000 donation from Norfolk Southern to support operations of Georgia State Railroad Museum, one of CHS’s six Savannah-based museums. This site is a family favorite for locals and visitors alike as they can engage in interactive experiences such as a working handcar, touring historic railcars, and taking a guided site tour by train.

“We are so grateful to Norfolk Southern for their generous donation to Georgia State Railroad Museum,” said Coastal Heritage Society CEO Nora Fleming Lee. “Their ongoing commitment to CHS has enabled us to enhance and expand our programming to better serve our community.”

Norfolk Southern transports freight across 22 states and Washington, D.C., and its network powers service and growth for more than half of the U.S. population and manufacturing base.
