Savannah Philharmonic Announces New Orchestra Members

The Savannah Philharmonic is pleased to announce the addition of three new orchestra members: Martha Gardner, Brinson Moore, and Thierry de Lucas Neves.
Martha Gardner is an accomplished orchestral and solo musician and teacher. She began violin under the tutelage of her mother, Valerie Gardner, who is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and Carnegie Mellon University. She also studied with Levon Ambartsumian and Shakhida Azimkhodjaeva, who are graduates of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, while she received her masters degree in violin performance. Gardner is passionate about teaching and performing. She has made solo appearances with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, North Georgia Chamber Orchestra, Georgia Philharmonic, University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra, and ARCO chamber orchestra. Gardner plays with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, North Georgia Chamber Orchestra, and many others orchestras throughout the Southeast. In addition to joining the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, she currently holds the positions of Concertmaster of Georgia Philharmonic, Associate Concertmaster of Asheville Symphony Orchestra, and Assistant Principal Second of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra.
Brinson Moore is a violinist who has performed as soloist with the Lander University Chamber Strings, the Presbyterian College Chamber Ensemble, and the Cairn University Symphony Orchestra. He has been a participant in the David Kim Orchestral Institute and the Adirondack Performing Arts Fellowship. Moore holds a Bachelor of Music from Cairn University, where his primary teachers were Yuting Chen and Anne Ku. He is currently a candidate for Artist Diploma at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, at Mercer University, where he studies with Robert
McDuffie, David Kim, and Amy Schwarz Moretti.
Thierry de Lucas Neves currently serves as Associate Concertmaster of the Savannah Philharmonic and as a violinist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, where he is a recipient of the prestigious Colton Fellowship. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, he had the privilege of studying under Pinchas Zukerman and Patinka Kopec as part of the exclusive Zukerman Program. Recognized as a distinguished member of the Sphinx Virtuosi, de Lucas Neves has performed across more than twenty states, appearing at renowned venues such as Stanford University, the New World Symphony, the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, and Carnegie Hall. He has also recorded two albums with the ensemble under the Deutsche Grammophon label. Originally from Goiânia, Brazil, he is the founder of “Projeto De Lucas”, an initiative dedicated to mentoring and providing online lessons to young violinists from remote regions of Brazil.
