Tharros Place Hires Kate Gallop as Outreach Manager
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025
Tharros Place, a nonprofit providing residential services for girls ages 12 to 17 who are survivors of human trafficking, recently announced that it has hired Kate Gallop to serve as its Outreach Manager. In that role, she will be responsible for the implementation, supervision, and coordination of human trafficking outreach in Savannah and the surrounding areas for prevention and awareness. She will focus on four target populations: young people ages 12 to 17; parents and other adults who interact with adolescents; law enforcement and first responders; and the community at large.
“Not only is Kate compassionate with survivors of human trafficking, but she is also passionate about educating the community,” said Julie Wade, Executive Director of Tharros Place. “There are many misconceptions about human trafficking, so her role of outreach is an incredibly important one, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team.”
Gallop is a 2023 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she double majored in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and English with a creative writing concentration. Prior to joining Tharros Place, she worked as a data migration and outreach volunteer with St. Louis Queer+ Support & Healing, where she coordinated events and assisted with fundraising initiatives. Originally from Boulder, Col., Gallop now resides in Savannah.
Gallop is available for presentations and educational sessions on human trafficking – the statistics, risk factors, and how you can help prevent it. For more information or to schedule a presentation, visit tharrosplace.com or email [email protected].
