Chatham County Hospital Authority Announces $2M Grant Funding Opportunity

The Chatham County Hospital Authority (CCHA) Trust invites nonprofit and for-profit organizations that provide preventive health care services to indigent residents of Chatham County to apply for funding through a competitive grant process.

The purpose of the CCHA Trust Grant is to support the delivery of preventive health care services to the county’s indigent population.

Focus areas include:

  • Behavioral and mental health services
  • Health screenings
  • Dental hygiene care
  • Specialty care services (e.g. diabetes) 

Preference will be given to organizations/entities that provide direct medical care or clinical interventions, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, prescription assistance, or disease management.

United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE), an experienced community grantor, will administer the CCHA Trust Grant. While United Way will facilitate the grant process, CCHA will retain full decision-making authority.

Interested organizations/entities should review eligibility criteria and application instructions at uwce.org/ccha-trust-grant and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by 5 p.m. EDT on July 31, 2026. The LOI process opens at noon on July 14, 2026. Applicants will be notified of awards in November 2026.
