For residents who want to get in touch with their creative side this fall and
winter, Telfair Museums has rolled out a slate of adult studio classes focusing on different artistic mediums.

Adults aged 18 years and above, can enjoy a series of guided instructional classes including figurative art, sketchbook and mixed media, drawing, painting and more. Classes are now open for registration and will run in
six-week courses from August 12 through December 15 at the Jepson Center. Visit the Adult Classes page on Telfair.org for more information and to register.

Adult classes are open to all levels and any age, from those interested in learning a new art skill or hobby and those who have been practicing for years.

“This fall, we’re excited to offer adult learners the opportunity to develop their skills in a welcoming and inspiring environment,” said Harry DeLorme, Director of Education and Senior Curator at Telfair Museums.

“Our classes are designed not only to build artistic expertise, but also to foster connection, curiosity, and confidence under the guidance of experienced teachers. Whether participants are picking up a paintbrush for
the first time or continuing a lifelong passion, these programs invite our community to engage with art in meaningful and transformative ways.”

• Studio Art Club: Wednesdays, Aug. 12-Oct. 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.
• Life Portraiture Art Club: Fridays, Aug. 14-Oct. 10, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Figurative Art Club: Thursdays, Aug. 13-Oct. 8, 2-5 p.m.
• Plein Air Art Club: Fridays, Aug. 14-Oct. 9, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.
• Sketchbook, Mixed Media, Composition: Mondays, Sept 14-Oct. 19, 2-4:30 p.m.
• Classical Life Drawing: Mondays, Aug. 31-Oct. 5, 2-4:30 p.m.
• Making a Photograph in Paint Through Observation: Tuesdays, Sept. 8-Oct. 13, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• Still-Life Painting: Tuesdays, Sept. 8-Oct. 13, 2-4:30 p.m.
• Landscape Painting: Thursdays, Sept. 10-Oct. 15, 9-11:30 a.m.
• Making a Michelangelo: Mondays, Oct. 19-Nov. 23, 2-4:30 p.m.
• Still-Life Painting: Tuesdays, Oct. 20-Nov. 24, 2-4:30 p.m.
• Studio-Based Landscape Painting: Thursdays, Oct. 22-Dec. 3, 10a.m.-12:30 p.m.
