Georgia Tech-Savannah kicked off their 2019 “Learners & Leaders” breakfast series on Thursday, February 28th, with an insightful lesson on the value of one's business. Managing Director of Business Valuation, Inc., Patrick Emmet along with C. Don Wiggins, President, Business Valuation & Heritage Capital Group traveled from Jacksonville, FL to speak and educate attendees about the top 35 factors that contribute to the devaluation of businesses.
Dozens of local business leaders and professionals packed the room on Georgia Tech-Savannah’s campus to network, absorb, and learn business strategies that help with day in and day out operations. The constructive presentation revealed these top business killers and delivered advice to attendees with specific details from other companies mistakes.
“This discussion confirmed our decision to open our new office here in Savannah. The area is a very vibrant community with an excellent port and logistics system, and I expect immense growth in the future,” Don Wiggins of Heritage Capital Group and Business Valuation, Inc. said. “It was great to hear questions and concerns from such a wide variety of companies.” Wiggins was thrilled to have been a guest speaker at this event, and is enthusiastic about Heritage’s new office opening in Savannah. Heritage Capital Group was founded in 1977 and Business Valuation, Inc. was founded in 1989. Together, the two companies have advised over 4,000 clients in mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, and valuations.
Those in attendance left with a better understanding of the importance of business valuation, the proper steps to take in the valuation process, and how this process can heavily influence your business operations. Business valuation is a crucial process for companies to consider.
