Pete Hoffman Promoted to Director of Governmental Relations and Community Engagement at Armstrong State University

Pete Hoffman has been promoted to Director of Governmental Relations and Community Engagement at Armstrong State University. 

In this position, he will work directly with the Office of the President and the Office of Advancement to strengthen university relationships among business, political and military leadership in Liberty, Bryan and Chatham counties.

“Pete has deep ties to the Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield communities, as well as local, state and federal legislative delegations,” said Armstrong President Linda M. Bleicken. “In his new role, he will continue to be an enormous asset to Armstrong.”

Prior to this appointment, Hoffman served as the director of the Armstrong Liberty Center, the university’s Liberty County location, since July 2012. Responsible for developing and building an enrollment strategy, which led to significant enrollment growth at the Liberty Center, Hoffman was also instrumental in generating support for the new Liberty Center building, which will open in January 2016.
 
A retired colonel with the U.S. Army, Hoffman has extensive experience in diplomatic relations and negotiating strategic agreements. He earned a Master in Public Administration from Cornell University and a B.A. in Political Science from North Georgia College.
