Savannah Area Society for Human Resource Management to Headline Georgia Tech-Savannah’s October Learning Series

Leadership development experts, including several executives with the Society for Human Resource Management Savannah chapter, will address Georgia Tech-Savannah’s October Learning Series Thursday, October 15, at 7:30 a.m. Together they will examine how to lead teams and organizations with integrity, maturity and an abundance mentality.
 
The event is geared toward human resource professionals, business owners, middle- and upper-management professionals and those who are about to transition to management roles. Participants will discover how to put “think win-win” into practice, gain exposure to the most effective coaching processes, understand the benefits of conflict and learn how to facilitate conflict resolution.
 
The talk, which will include remarks followed by an interactive discussion, will focus on Stephen Covey’s habit #4, which is to think win-win-a foundational principle for leaders and secret weapon for high-growth firms. Panelists include:
 
●      Ned Ellington, strategy and leadership development expert and former research faculty at Georgia Tech
●      Rushe Hudzinski, chief human resource officer, NewSouth; president, The Savannah Area Chapter – SHRM; director-elect, Georgia SHRM Georgia State Council

The Georgia Tech-Savannah Learning Series is an initiative launched last October in an effort to help companies in the coastal region stay up-to-speed on new technology, leadership issues and more. The November 5 session will focus on the vital role that curiosity and creativity can play in companies’ problem solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.
